Working in the Pipeline Integrity Services group, a range of technical and operational assignments will be conducted relating to pipeline field examination, analysis, review, and reporting of pipeline inspection data, ultimately supporting our customers’ pipeline integrity management programs. Approximately 90% of this role will be spent in the field, field office, and traveling across the US. 10% of time will be spent at the home division location. The PLI Assistant will work in support of the PLI Technician for extended periods in remote areas.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate preference for those who have current and valid Level II Magnetic Particle Testing, Level II Liquid Penetrant and level II UT Shearwave. 
  • Assist PLI Technicians in performing specific calibrations, nondestructive examinations, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations.
  • Assist PLI Technicians in equipment setup, work execution, and accurate recording of inspection results.
  • The PLI Assistant will receive on-the-job and classroom training to develop and further their career as an PLI Technician, commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Adaptability to work productively in remote locations, away from home, for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills to work collaboratively with diverse team members.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Level II Magnetic Particle Testing, Level II Liquid Penetrant and level II UT Shearwave. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in computer skills and communication – comfortable utilizing MS office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), articulate well communicating both verbally and written such as emails.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Technical background desired
