                                                                Acuren Inspection is currently recruiting for a Metallurgical Lab Manager to support our Tulsa, OK operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Collect information from clients, prepare project scopes and plans and deliver cost estimates
  • Conduct and direct studies and generate observations and data as required by project plan
  • Develop draft reports and work with the Technical Experts as needed to finalize for client delivery
  • Deliver exceptional professional customer service with various industrial companies, energy companies, internal and external stakeholders, etc.
  •  Other work duties as assigned.
  • Build client relationships based on the provision of exceptional service and ethical business practices
  • Identify opportunities to expand services to new and existing clients
  • Identify and pursue innovative approaches and/or solutions to client opportunities
  • Effectively schedule and oversee laboratory personnel
  • Division utilization at 90% or higher per month/quarter.
  • Recruit and coordinate staff to ensure best coverage
  • Support customer initiatives to ensure on-time shipment
  • Oversee issues relating to safety, disciplinary situations, and employee training & relations
  • Maintain high engagement with workforce and ensure dissemination of key safety, quality, and production communications
  • Plan and execute technician training schedule yearly
  • Investigate, document, and report all safety incidents
  • Investigate, document, and report any disciplinary situations of an employee, including voluntary or involuntary termination (utilize standard forms).

Requirements

  • Technical background in destructive testing methods procedures and knowledge of machining and destructive testing equipment
  • Proven Leadership with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in report writing
  • Federal Employment and Labor Laws including HIPPA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and ADEA
  • Mechanical specimen preparation and testing
  • Metallurgical specimen preparation and testing
  • Sound understanding and practice of leadership fundamentals and team building
  • Conflict resolution
  • Experience in administrative functions including payroll, data entry, office equipment, and reporting.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with limited physical effort, continuous mental effort, and frequent complex requests for assistance in and out of a lab environment.
  • Travel may be required.
