Acuren is seeking a Shop Assistant – Summer Student to support our warehouse operations in Edmonton. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency and success of our warehouse activities. • Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8 hours per day
• Term: May to approximately end of August (some flexibility with dates to accommodate student schedules)
• Location: Acuren 18th Street Warehouse, Edmonton

• Assist with daily warehouse operations, including inventory management and equipment handling.

• Support shipping and receiving activities as required.

• Perform general shop duties, which may include material handling, cleaning, yard maintenance, and manual labour using small tools.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively assist various warehouse personnel

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods, lifting heavy loads, etc.)

• Exceptional safety and quality awareness

• Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively

• Able to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with forklift operation is considered a strong asset

• Steel toe boots required
