Acuren has an exciting opportunity to advance your career as a Project Manager focused on inspection, safety and quality supporting our operations. This is a unique opportunity for a nested position with a client in Birmingham, AL. 

Reporting to the Division Manager, the Project Manager has overall responsibility for the operations of Acuren at the customer site. This includes but is not limited to compliance (safety, QA, radiation safety, rope access), contract maintenance, employee health and welfare, obligations of performance deliverables, and KPI’s to the client. The PM will oversee and provide direction for all Acuren crews working onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Interface daily with the client about work priorities and progress of projects 
  • Handle all project scheduling for the customer 
  • Actively participate in client programs, planning and strategy sessions 
  • Work closely with client to identify and remove obstacles 
  • Actively participate in client safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc. 
  • Ensure employees and site leads have the tools and training to perform their jobs proficiently 
  • Evaluate each department to identify areas where efficiency, quality, production and safety can be improved 
  • Encourage adequate feedback from employees to ensure continual improvement of program 
  • Develop equipment resource planning and renewal initiatives 
  • Site safety management 
  • Participate in performance management of site employees 

Requirements

  • Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/570/653
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience
  • Project Management experience
  • In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570/653 and ASME standards
  • Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers
